The Well-Read Mom Book Club
Reading the classics, great books, and timeless spiritual works from the Western and Christian traditions
The Well-Read Mom Book Club is a means for women to accompany one another in reading the classics, great books, and timeless spiritual works from the Western and Christian traditions in order to nurture our hearts and our moral imaginations.
It aims to help women make space for reading and reflection in their daily lives and to create a place where they can come together to share what they are learning through their reading. We read books that push, provoke, and inspire us to dive deeper into the plots of our own lives. Great writers become dear friends and we find ourselves seeing reality through their eyes, imbued with their insights. Our book picks come from the non-profit group, The Well-Read Mom, and are organized into yearly themes: i.e. The Year of the Friend, The Year of the Worker, The Year of the Pilgrim. For more information, please visit the Well-Read Mom website at www.wellreadmom.com.
The Ss. Peter & Paul Chapter of WRM meets one evening per month, September through June, in the Parish Center. All women of the parish and surrounding community are invited to join us (mom status not required!), to be encouraged to read more, and read well! To contact someone from the group, please fill out and submit the form below. We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:15pm in the Ss. Peter & Paul Dining Hall located in the Parish Center.
