Celebrating Our 5th Year!
In 2019, with a nod to the heritage of Loretto’s founders, the Church of Ss Peter and Paul established a new festival to celebrate the Advent and Christmas seasons in Old World fashion. Christkindlmarkt, literally “Christ child market or fair,” is an event bringing together the larger community in an atmosphere of peace and joy.

Christkindlmarkt offers all who come an amazing experience of the sights, smells, tastes and sounds of the season with German and Austrian fare ranging from our Bavarian grill specialties to authentic coffees and cakes in our Viennese coffee house, to traditional treats and beverages including Gluehwein.
2024 Programming
Basement Brass Band
Returning this year with its magical performance of classics from central Europe and beyond, Basement Brass Band will take the Marktplatz Stage from 5 PM until close.
Plymouth Concert Band
The Plymouth Concert Band has embodied the finest traditions of the symphonic wind band for over 20 years.
Westwind Big Band
The Westwind Big Band is an 18-piece ensemble formed by members of the Hopkins Westwind Concert Band.
Delano Community Band
The Delano Community Band is an all-volunteer, inter-generational concert band based in Delano, Minnesota.
Ss Peter & Paul Festival Choir
The festival choir of Ss Peter & Paul presents seasonal favorites in English and German. Accompanied by Carrie Ferdinandt. Directed by Greg Elsen.
