  • Confession Heals Relationships | Ss Peter & Paul

Sacrament of Confession The Sacrament of Confession is a powerful tool for healing from sinful tendencies in our thoughts, words and actions. It is a means to spur growth in closeness with our Lord Jesus. Effective use of this sacrament comes from a regular reviewal of conscience usually done at the end of the day. Major sins usually stand out all on their own. But tendencies to sin can be spotted through regularly spending some time at the end of the day thinking about how we lived our day, how we treated people or thought about them, and how we treated God. Healing Relationships The often-overlooked benefit of regular use of the Sacrament of Confession is its potential to improve our relationships with the people around us. Reflecting on how we think about and treat family, co-workers, and any others we meet in our day, holds us accountable for the kind of person we are becoming. With the healing grace of this beautiful sacrament, even long-term attitudes and behaviors can be chipped away at and smoothed out through regular use of Confession. Confession can be thought of as a tool for healing, from past wounds we haven’t gotten over, as well as present day feelings and attitudes which can hold us back from experiencing freedom and peace. Do you want to become the best you…this sacrament is for you! Confession Aids and Schedule

When You Need Jesus - He's Waiting - Learn More Adorer Responsibilities For our Lord to be exposed perpetually in the Blessed Sacrament, the chapel must have at least one person present with Him at all times. While our purpose is to adore Him, each adorer also plays the role of guardian. With our strong substitute system, occasional absences are not a problem, and snowbirds are able to fly south for the winter. Jesus waits for us in this sacrament of love. Let us be generous with our time in going to meet Him in adoration, and in contemplation that is full of faith and ready to make reparation for the great faults and crimes of the world. May our adoration never cease.” ~ Saint John Paul II

  • Come to Adoration | Ss Peter & Paul

Is life overwhelming? Our Lord says, come to me for I am gentle and lowly of heart, and I will give you rest. Life brings lots of questions and sometimes reading books and listening to podcasts just doesn’t bring the answers we feel the need for. Sometimes an in-person meeting is much more effective than one from a distance through various media. Sometimes we just need to come in and sit down with the Lord. That is one of the great gifts of Eucharistic Adoration. There He is, His heart the Eucharist in the monstrance, as if at His desk, waiting for anyone who needs to, to come in and see Him. In the silence of an adoration chapel, or when there is adoration in your parish church, that is the time and place for a private appointment with Jesus Christ. Come and see. Come and pour out your heart to Him. Come and listen. Quietly share space together as we do with so many others in our life, but this time with God. Why me, why now? Are you feeling lonely? Are you feeling a need for healing in your heart from a hurt of long ago or just recently? Do you just want to know if God is out there, and if so, does he really care about me? Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament, a gift beyond all telling. He’s waiting there just for you! Come and see. Our Lady of Loretto Adoration Chapel

  • Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi "I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.” The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.... For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Then many of his disciples who were listening said, “This saying is hard; who can accept it?” As a result of this, many [of] his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him. Jesus then said to the Twelve, “Do you also want to leave?” Simon Peter answered him, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life." The Gospel of John, Chapter 6 Spending time in prayer and reflection, in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, is a great help to our supernatural faith. At its most basic level, Eucharistic Adoration is simply spending time with Our Beloved Lord. We can acknowledge that how we spend our time is a significant indicator of what we value in life. Spending time with Jesus’s Eucharistic Face indicates that we seek to know Him and follow Him. Bishop Joseph Strickland

  • Mass of the Lord's Supper

Mass of the Lord's Supper We call this food Eucharist, and no one else is permitted to partake of it, except one who believes our teaching to be true and who has been washed in the washing that is for the remission of sins and for regeneration and is thereby living as Christ enjoined. For not as common bread nor common drink do we receive these; but since Jesus Christ our Savior was made incarnate by the word of God and had both flesh and blood for our salvation, so too, as we have been taught, the food that has been made into the Eucharist by the eucharistic prayer set down by him, and by the change of which our blood and flesh is nurtured, is both the flesh and the blood of that incarnated Jesus. First Apology, 66 St. Justin Martyr
